François Gipouloux

Senior Research Fellow, National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). After graduating from University of Paris 7 (1974) and Peking University (1974-77), Dr. Gipouloux served as deputy trade commissioner of the French Embassy in Beijing (1983-86) and as researcher of the Maison Franco-Japonaise in Tokyo (1990-94). Until recently, he was research director of the French Centre for Research on Contemporary China in Hong Kong (1997-2001). 

His current research focuses on the spatial effects of foreign direct investment in China and on the formation of a Mediterranean Sea in East Asia.
